Dominica on Forbes List of Top Five Destinations to Put on Your Radar for 2023

Dominica is number one on the Forbes list of “The Top Five Destinations To Put On Your Radar in 2023.”

The ranking picks up on global travel authority, Lonely Planet’s announcement of its Best in Travel list for 2023 which rates Dominica as one of the top destinations in its ‘Unwind’ Category.

Lonely Planet highlights Dominica’s boiling lake, hot springs, superb diving and the Waitukubuli National Trail as major attractions for independent travelers and eco-adventurers.

CEO of Discover Dominica Authority, Collin Piper told the publication it was an “incredible honour” to be considered as one of the top destinations to unwind by Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel.

Piper said the “recognition is a true testament to our beautiful island and the growth in tourism we’ve experienced in recent years.”

He said it supported Dominica’s decision to preserve the natural environment while creating authentic experiences for travellers, seeking relaxation or adventure.

Lonely Planet’s Best in Travel lists are generated from nominations of writers, bloggers and publishing partners. 30 destinations are chosen by travel experts based on topicality, unique experiences, ‘wow’ factor and ongoing commitment to sustainability, community and diversity.
