Avondale Paul Takes up Post as Dominica’s Ambassador to the UAE
Dominica’s newly-appointed Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates H.E Avondale Paul has presented his credentials to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the capital city, Abu Dhabi.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit announced last week that Paul, a United States- based financial manager, would replace Ambassador Hubert Charles as Dominica’s envoy in the UAE.

Paul was received by Abdulla Mohamed Alblooki, Acting Assistant Under-Secretary for Protocol Affairs in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, who wished the new ambassador success in the performance of his duties and in enhancing bilateral relations and cooperation between the UAE and Dominica.
Avondale Paul worked as an economist in Dominica’s Ministry of Finance before moving on to the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank as a Senior Research Assistant.
Since 1999, he has worked as a Financial Analyst for a number of US firms including the telecommunications company, Verizon and Startec Global Communications Inc. He was Director of Financial Planning and Analysis at Black Entertainment Television Inc and Revolt TV & Media before becoming Financial Director at Megaphone, a Spotify company, in 2020.
